More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked many K-6 family roller skating nights and Family Literacy nights (as part of student government) in high school.

I did an internship at the Bemidji Boys and Girls club last summer. working with k-6 graders.

I currently volunteer at Peace House Community in Minneapolis which is a homeless shelter. I work with all ages, but I also get to work with families with young children who come in seeking help.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Puzzles, painting, singing, going for walks outside, drawing and coloring, and playing games.

The most important part about being a nanny...

A few months ago, I got to watch all three of my younger cousins. They are 4, 7, and 9. I typically don't get to watch them all at once but last time I did and they had so much fun together. We played games, they colored and drew pictures for a little while and watched part of a Scooby Doo movie after supper and all three were in bed by nine! My favorite part of that night was when my cousin Sam, the oldest, wanted to help me make supper, and so we did, and he told me all about how he wants be a chef when he grows up.
