More About Me
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love, love, love keeping kids active and making the most out of every season, especially living in Massachusetts! When the weather is nice, I love being outdoors, going to parks, exploring, and finding fun things to do. Even during the colder months, I’m all about embracing the season, whether that’s building snowmen, playing in the snow, or finding fun ways to stay active. I also love going to libraries, doing arts & crafts, baking, and encouraging kids to use their imagination and get creative. I’m a big believer in letting kids be curious, have fun, and explore what interests them!!
The most important part about being a nanny...
What matters most to me about being a nanny is creating a relationship where a child feels safe, comfortable, and genuinely happy to see me. I want to be someone they can trust, have fun with, and feel supported by while also helping them learn, grow, and become more independent. I think the little everyday moments are just as important as the big ones, and I love knowing that I can make their day a little better. I also really value clear communication with parents and being someone they can rely on and feel supported by. I believe in working as a team with parents to provide their child with the best care and create a happy, supportive environment for them.
My experience with special needs children...
I previously nannied for a 9 year old boy with autism. I cared for him after school, taking him to his extracurricular activities, spending time outside with him when the weather allowed, and helping with dinner, bath time, and his bedtime routine. I also helped him practice and learn English, as it was a new language for him, and was there to support him during sessions with his behavioral therapist. I really enjoyed getting to know his personality and interests and learning how to best support him.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite part of being a nanny is building a genuine bond and sense of trust with the children I care for. Of course, I’m there to be responsible and provide structure, but I also love being someone they can look forward to seeing and feel completely comfortable around. Since I’m still a college student myself, I love that in a way I can be like an older sibling to them while still being someone they can learn from and depend on. It means a lot to me to become a special part of their everyday life and to know that the time we spend together is just as meaningful to them as it is to me. One of my favorite things is when that bond continues even after I’m no longer their nanny.
