Extensive knowledge of childcare, education, and development. Experience working with special needs aptitudes as well as managing children that have challenging behavior and learning disabilities. Told the 10 yr old boy I was nannying to write a letter to the Angry Birds company and tell them his ideas. I also taught him how to address the letter with his name and everything. A month later, he received a package from the actual company telling him how grateful they were in receiving his letter and ideas! He was hesitant to write a letter to them but with much encouragement, he finally decided to do it. After he received the letter, I told him how he should never let fear get in the way of something he wants to do, to be confident in himself, and that dreams can come true. Such a magical moment, for both of us!
