A little bit about me

Hello! I am a retired physician trained in pediatrics, family practice, and preventive medicine, and most of my career was in public health. I'm also a mother of a wonderful young adult. I love children, and now that I'm an empty-nester, I would like to help nuture and care for children as a part-time career. Because of my medical background, I could certainly care for special needs children. I currently volunteer in the NICU at Children's Hospital, and find it incredibly rewarding. I am quite comfortable caring for children of any age, and am particularly skilled at caring for infants and young children.

I'm a retired pediatrician. Currently, I volunteer at Children's Hospital Colorado, holding infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). I've always loved kids, and babysat extensively in high school, but, of course, that was many years ago! Happy to provide references.

Playing with them in a bouncy seat or on the floor, walking outside, taking them to the playground, depending, of course, on the age and interests of the children.

Again, in clinical practice, I've cared for children on the autism spectrum, children who required gastric feeding tubes, children with asthma, and of course, children with severe allergies, requiring epi pens.
