A little bit about me

I have been around children my entire life. I have 3 grown children and I have many niece's and nephew's. The dates I put in were the years I raised my children. I started babysitting when I was 12 years old. My first pregnancy was with twin girl's they were 2 months premature and I was a single mom at the time. Then I met my husband and we had our son. He has special needs, hearing loss, adhd and severe learning difficulties. He is now 22. My daughter's are 30. One daughter is married now and hopefully my title will be upgraded to Grandma one day in the near future. I can get many references from friends and family if needed. I am looking to stay close to Esko, Carlton and Cloquet as of now.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have 3 children twin daughters ages 30 and a son age 22. I also have 11 niece's and nephew's, plus 1 grand nephew and 2 grand niece's and numerous baby sitting positions throughout my life. I have also taken care of all of my close friends children from birth and up.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Reading, singing, being silly, tummy time, age appropriate games, arts and crafts, puzzles. Going to the park, library, long walks, and bike riding. Or just chilling on a blanket playing outside.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is giving parents the peace of mind that their child(ren) are being well cared for. And a bonus their children are in their own environment. When I had my children I was lucky enough to stay home with them for 4 years with my twins and 5 years with my son. But not everyone has that option. My kids are grown. And I had to make a life adjustment from a shoulder surgery. I did in home care as a PCA for 25 years. That is no longer an option. So being a nanny is not far from that position. I would now be taking care of little one's vs. adult's. My whole life I have always been a caregiver. I want to continue on with that role.

My experience with special needs children...

My son wears hearing aides, has severe hearing loss, ADHD and learning difficulties.
I have a niece with PKU, with a strict diet.
2 second cousins with autism.
