I raised two boys of my own; Working as a receptionist at the pediatrician’s office, taking care of the kids, and taking care of my cousin’s kids. I love kids and I’m really good with them. I’m dependable. I try to teach good manners with rewards.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Outdoor activities mostly, games my mom used to play with us. Old lady witch, Penny, Penny, who’s got the Penny, hide and seek, tag. I love to walk and I typically walk 10,000 steps a day. Happy to have them join me if they’re old enough or I can push them if they’re young enough I love to play baseball. I also like to hang out on rainy days and watch movies, winter days I love to go sledding. I like to do fun things versus just letting them watch TV and have them TV babysit.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I would love for them to love me as part of their family and vice versa.
My experience with special needs children...
My oldest son has Asperger’s. He is 24. He has a full-time job. He’s needed a lot of patience. I’m not going to lie, it was a little difficult at times. We do have excellent communication and he is a wonderful kid and I am so proud of him!
