A little bit about me

Hi there! My name is Cassandra but you can call me Cassie! I'm 24 years old and have been in the caregiving field for three and a half years, mainly with children under 10, but I do have experience with pre-teens and adults. Currently, I'm working as a full time registered behavioral therapist for children on the autism spectrum. I work from 8:30 AM- 5 PM M-F so I'm looking for positions between 5:30 PM- 10:30 PM during the week. With advanced noticed, I can accommodate weekend needs, so let me know! I am CPR certified, have a valid license, and have experience with children with disabilities. I also have background checks from my current and previous employers, so if you would like a copy then just let me know. I love crafts, I'm a very creative person. I also love working with music, I think it's one of the best ways to develop skills in children.

I love spending time with kids, not just playing, but also ensuring that anything we do together is enriching and, depending on the task, helps develop important life and social skills they'd need further in life. I think patience is such an important part of being a nanny, but it's so rewarding when you get to experience a child learn and grow in life and become more and more independent.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I was an assistant teacher, I was preparing to go on vacation and all my kiddos knew about it. On my last day, before we got ready for nap time, all my kids ran up and gave me the biggest hugs and basically tackled me 😂 also, as a senior caregiver, one of the most memorable moments was when one of my dementia resident came back from being out with family and her face just lit up when she saw me, she was so excited. She had aphasia, but she was able to say "I miss you" and it made me tear up 😭
