I’ve worked in-home as a nanny and as a tutor.
I have school-based experience as a library aide, an after-school aide, and as a substitute teacher.
I’ve also worked with children with various behavioural issues as a Behaviour Management Specialist these past nine months, utilising play therapy to teach coping mechanisms to children ages three to twelve with conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, ODD, and other mental and physical issues which affect their behaviour.

Being afforded the opportunity to not only care for the children entrusted to you by their parents, but also having the ability to be a positive role model and to assist in moulding kind, moral, empathetic, and intelligent human beings who will have an incredible impact upon society.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with children who have been diagnosed with ADHD, ASD, ODD, mood disorders, and those with physical disabilities that require extra care as well. This experience has taken place whilst I worked as a private nanny, as a substitute teacher in SPED classrooms, and during my tenure as a Behaviour Management Specialist.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Bonding with the eight-year-old girl in my care during a live-in summer position so thoroughly that we still keep in contact to this day, well after she has graduated from university!
