A little bit about me

I'm a mother to my beautiful 26 year old daughter that just graduated college magna cum laude with honors. She has just started law school this year. I'm an artist, full-time aunt to my brother's children and full-time daughter to my parents. The children love to come and stay with me in the summer while their parents work. I teach them what I know about painting, drawing. We make art, homemade ice cream, boiled peanuts, lemonade and sell our "goods" from our sidewalk. This past week we harvested figs from our tree and made fig preserves. We lounge in the sun and take turns reading aloud from the book of the week. We enjoy each other's company and our summer.

I'm an artist so I love to get children excited and involved in all kinds of art from painting to pottery. I love to include the children in safely helping prepare meals for their family. I love going for walks with the children and reading books with them. We always pick up and put away what we play with.
