I worked as a Junior Staff at the Boys & Girls Club of Fauquier for 5 years with 100 kids ages 5 to 16. I ran a variety of programs and worked as a mentor to youth. Additionally, I nannied for a first grader in NYC, doing light housework on the side. I also led STEM programs at Genius Gems.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
For inside activities I love to color and draw, build, make music, and cook. For outside activities I enjoy going on walks, visiting the park, going shopping, the pool, the beach, day trips, and using the imagination. Overall though, the most important part is to have fun!

I think the most important part about being a nanny is having the ability to listen. Things won't always go to plan and sometimes the kids have a different agenda. As long as you show respect and listen there's a compromise that can be reached to continue having fun!
The most important part about being a nanny...
There are so many stand out memorable moments working with kids. I think one of my favorite moments was having a coloring competition and getting so many "presents" of drawings later in the day as a thank you for having fun.
