Hello,

My name is Cecille. I am 32 years old, born in the Philippines, and married to an American man. I have lived in the US for over three years, and we have a beautiful daughter who just turned three. I studied in the Philippines for two years in college. I have more than four years of experience as a nanny. Due to poverty, I had to work as a full-time nanny for my relatives when I was in high school until I graduated. I did all the housework and cooking and cared for the kids. When I moved to the US, I had a friend with twins. One of them has unique needs, and I babysat for them for one year. I also worked in daycare for three months and have a certificate in CPR and First Aid. Working with kids can be challenging, but my experience helps me to be patient, and having my child has taught me even more patience. I'm looking for a job that can fit my daughter's schedule. She is in daycare now.

My experience with special needs children...

I had the pleasure of looking after an extraordinary young boy who has autism. He's such a sweet kid and has his unique world. He loves to play and eagerly eats everything I cook for him and his brother. At first, it was tough because we couldn't communicate, but with his mom's help, I learned about his likes and needs. I mostly let him play, especially with his train set. I only check on him for meal times, to change his diaper, or to do some fun activities I've planned for them. Sometimes, he gets excited or emotional, and I have to help him calm down, but most of the time, he listens.

Overall, this experience taught me so much about patience and was incredibly rewarding. I grew to love him as if he were my own. His mom even told me that he was looking for me, and that makes me so happy because I know I left a positive impact on him.
