More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
For the past year, I have worked as a nanny for a family with five children, ranging in age from 9 months to 18 years old. This experience has strengthened my ability to adapt to a wide range of developmental needs while creating a supportive and engaging environment for each child.
I hold a degree in English Teaching from Brigham Young University, where I also completed coursework in adolescent development. My academic background, combined with my hands-on experience, has given me a strong foundation in working with children and understanding their individual needs.
I genuinely love working with kids and build strong, positive relationships with them. I also come from a large family and have nine nieces and nephews whom I adore, which has further deepened my experience and joy in caring for children.
I would love the opportunity to work with your family.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy engaging children in both indoor and outdoor activities that are fun, enriching, and age-appropriate. With the children I currently nanny, I love taking them to the pool, going on walks or hikes, visiting the library, and exploring new activities together. I also value incorporating everyday responsibilities, such as grocery shopping or getting haircuts, as opportunities to teach independence and life skills.
Indoors, one of my favorite activities is baking and cooking with children, as it encourages creativity and confidence. I also enjoy playing games with them and reading aloud, helping to foster both learning and a love for storytelling.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part of being a nanny is serving as a source of support for the entire family. It is a privilege to be invited into someone’s home, and I recognize that every household has its own routines, values, and expectations. Even when those may differ from my own, I prioritize respecting the parents’ approach and following their lead.
My goal is to act as an extension of the parents—helping maintain consistency in the home, supporting their parenting style, and ensuring their children feel secure, cared for, and understood. Whether that means assisting with daily tasks, reinforcing routines, or providing attentive care, I strive to contribute in a way that truly supports the family as a whole.

The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moments often happen in the kitchen. Baking cookies or preparing a meal is one of my favorite ways to unwind, and I love sharing that experience with children. I find that cooking together is a meaningful way to bond, build confidence, and help children feel supported and valued. It also creates opportunities to teach practical skills in a fun and engaging way—and there’s always something delicious to enjoy afterward!

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Schaumburg, IL: Alexandria H.
My name is Lexi! I have almost 8 years of professional experience with children of all ages. I have the most experience with newborns and toddlers, but I'm comfortable caring for older children as well. I pride myself on my ability to work flexibly with parents, adjusting to their parenting methods and schedules. I strive to provide educational activities and experiences for the children in my care. I'm also a great cook who knows how to prepare healthy snacks and meals for growing kiddos. I used to work full time as a caregiver at an assisted living facility, and I loved it! I've found my calling in taking care of others, be them young or old. I just moved to Wheeling from Milwaukee with my cat, Soup, and we're loving the change of scenery! I enjoy reading, playing video games, sketching, and rock climbing in my free time. I love going out on adventures and day trips, and it's always rewarding when I can come up with fun going-out activities with the kiddos I care for.
