More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

On top of raising my own 5, we’ve fostered a dozen kids or so, and I also volunteered at church in the children’s ministry for a couple of years. I’ve taught 6-9 year old boys at a homeschool co op for 4 years.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Outdoor is my favorite! I love playing baseball, basketball, hiking, swimming, riding bikes- anything to be outdoors. Inside the home, I play board and card games with kids, as well as “building” type of games (magnetic tiles or legos).

The most important part about being a nanny...

Treating children as I would expect someone to treat mine. This would include cresting teaching moments out of the ordinary things, being patient, promptly redirecting or disciplining, and speaking to them like they matter.

My experience with special needs children...

The foster kids we had in our home for 4 years came with various special emotional needs, and some developmental- like speech or physical casts for club foot.
