A little bit about me

I’m fun, affectionate, and very responsible. I’m someone who truly enjoys creating meaningful connections with kids and making them feel safe, heard, and happy. I feel especially comfortable with babies and toddlers, but I also enjoy working with older kids — whether it’s helping with homework, doing creative activities, or just being someone they can talk to. I speak Portuguese, which can be a great help for bilingual families or children learning a second language. I’d love the opportunity to support your family and be a positive, caring presence in your child’s life.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Hi! My name is Natalie, I’m 22 years old, and I’ve always had a strong connection with children. I’ve been helping care for my younger siblings since I was 7, and I’ve also supported family friends with their newborns during challenging times. I currently volunteer at my church with kids ages 3 to 4, and during high school, I spent time working with youth with special needs — experiences that taught me patience, empathy, and how to meet each child where they are.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love creating a fun, engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and have a blast! Whether it’s through hands-on activities or simple playtime, I always make the most of every moment. Here are some of the activities I enjoy doing with kids:

For babies and toddlers: Sensory play, tummy time, singing nursery rhymes, reading colorful books, and playing peek-a-boo.
For preschoolers: Crafting, baking, dancing, puzzles, and fun outdoor games like hide-and-seek or scavenger hunts.
For older kids: Board games, DIY projects, sports, baking challenges, and fun science experiments.
No matter the age, I love tailoring activities to each child’s interests, and I always make sure they’re having fun while learning new things. I’m also fluent in Portuguese, so I can speak to your child in another language, which can be a great advantage for bilingual families or children learning a second language. I’d love to help create a positive, fun, and safe environment for your little ones!

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters most to me about being a nanny is building a genuine, trusting relationship with the children and their families. I believe in creating a safe and positive environment where kids can feel comfortable to express themselves, learn, and have fun. It’s important to me that the children I care for feel heard, loved, and supported as they grow, whether that means teaching them new skills, playing games that spark their imagination, or simply being a caring presence. I also love knowing that I can help make life a little easier for parents by being reliable and responsible, creating peace of mind for the family as a whole.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve had the privilege of working with children who require a little extra attention in various settings. During my time at gardens, I worked with special needs children, where we focused on activities that promoted both growth and social skills in a supportive environment. It was incredibly rewarding to see the kids engage with nature and develop new skills.

Currently, at my church, I volunteer with children who need a bit more attention and care. Being around these children has taught me to be even more patient and creative with my approach, ensuring that each child feels included and valued. It’s been a truly fulfilling experience, and I’ve learned how to adapt to the unique needs of each child while providing a nurturing and safe space for them to learn and grow.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of the funniest moments I had was when a little one I took care of started saying his first words. He was so proud, and every time he’d say something new, he'd look at me with this big smile, almost like he was sharing a secret with me! Another funny moment was when he’d do something silly and then blame it on someone else, all while using his cute little voice. Of course, I used those moments to teach him about owning his actions and being responsible, which made for some funny and sweet learning moments!

Another memorable moment was when I was doing tummy time with a baby, and she suddenly raised her head for the first time. Her little face lit up with excitement, and it felt like such a special milestone. I was so proud of her!

I am a 23 year old CCMA who is currently finishing my last class for my BS in Kinesiology. I have a BLS certification and driver’s license. I currently live in Westminster, but I have my own vehicle!
