Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve been babysitting kids ever since I had 13 years old. I’ve babysat neighbors kids and my own family’s kids. I volunteered at a church before where I taught little ones to ride bikes and use manners. I’m very reliable and trustworthy and I promise your kids will be in good hands while with me.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love painting and coloring. I will also bring activities to play with your children based on what they like to do. I like dogs and cats and I was in a volunteer program where I trained them so they could get into good homes. I like going for walks a lot and I like enjoying time at the park. I also like watching movies and building forts for the kids. It is so much fun just being able to do what makes them happy!

It’s all about trust and actually building a relationship with the kids. I don’t see it as watching them or doing work around the house. I see it as forming a bond so they have someone they can trust and confide in.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I remember when my aunt and her boyfriend broke up. They had two girls at this point and the oldest child was upset because it was her dad and she didn’t understand what was going on. I went to check on her to make sure she was okay. At first she was hiding under the blanket trying to hide the fact she was upset. I told her she is gonna be okay and it’s alright to cry. I reassured her that anything she tells me stays between her and I and that she can let me know what’s going on. After that she hugged me and cried and told me that she doesn’t want her mom and dad to break up but I told her that’s it’s not because of her and sometimes these things happen. I reassured her that everything was gonna be okay and asked her if she would like to color. She said yes so we colored and after we laid on the trampoline and looked at the stars. Later on in the night she told me that she feels better and she fell asleep in my arms. Even though something bad was happening she was able to feel better.
