A little bit about me

Hi!!! My name is Charity! I am a college student who is looking for a nannying position. I absolutely love children and am currently working towards becoming a teacher. I have lots of experience with taking care of children. I nannied for boy-girl twins for over a year from 3-4 years old. I also nannied for an 11-month-old baby boy until he was a little over a year. I occasionally sat for a boy for years from age 6-9. I have lots of occasional sitting experience with all ages as well and I am currently also doing student teaching, once a week at a local elementary school. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have done a lot of work in elementary schools, in addition to my nannying and babysitting positions. I volunteered in a Kindergarten classroom once a week where I would spend full days helping 5–6-year old's and assisting the teacher. I took care of 3–4-year-old twins every single week, for a year. I also nannied for an 11-month-old, every single day 9-5, for a couple of months while his family was preparing to move. I was an occasional sitter for a boy (Age 6-9) for years. I also completed a year of student teaching in a 5th grade classroom where I taught, took care of, and worked with the students. I have experience in so many age groups through occasional sitting jobs!!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing all sorts of activities with the children that I care for. I mostly base what I do with the kids based off of what they are into. I love to engage in active play, play outside with them, paint, draw, pretend, etc. If the child is older, and it is something that the parent is comfortable with, I love taking the kids out on day excursions (Park, mall, fun places, movie theater, etc.). I mostly base what I do with the child based on their age group, what they are into, and what the parent is comfortable with.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think that the most important thing about being a nanny/ babysitter is engaging with the kids and creating a safe space for them. For lots of kids, they have never been around anyone but their parents, so I try my hardest to create a space where they can have fun and be comfortable with me.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have so many different favorite memories throughout my years nannying. I have a great memory with one of the children that I took care of where we went swimming, then we watched a movie and played, then we went to the library and read books, then we went to Sky Zone (a trampoline park), and we ended the day off baking cookies before he went to bed. There are so many more memories that I have with all the different kids that I cared for, but there are too many to name!!
