More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Throughout my career, I’ve had a wide range of experiences caring for and mentoring young people across different environments. As a private nanny in Amherst, I provided full-time care for an 8-year-old, balancing routines, creative activities, and emotional support. At Avid4 Adventure, I worked with children ages 3–12 in outdoor sports programs, building confidence and prioritizing safety in every activity. During my time at Northfield Mount Hermon, I served as a dorm head, academic advisor, and coach—roles that required deep trust, strong boundaries, and the ability to care for students' academic, emotional, and social well-being. Whether leading a darkroom photography class, guiding a lacrosse team, or supporting a child through a summer of growth, I’ve consistently shown up as a reliable, compassionate presence for the young people in my care.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Activities I enjoy doing with children include anything that encourages creativity, movement, and curiosity. I love making art together—whether it’s drawing, photography, or hands-on crafts—because it gives kids a chance to express themselves and explore their imagination. I also enjoy playing sports, especially basketball and lacrosse, as they’re a fun way to build teamwork, confidence, and communication. Outdoor adventures like biking, hiking, or just playing games at the park are another favorite, especially when they include learning about nature. I also enjoy reading aloud, watching movies, and having conversations that help kids think critically and feel heard. Whether we're building something, exploring a new place, or just hanging out and being silly, I value creating moments that feel fun, safe, and meaningful.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is building a trusting, respectful relationship with both the child and their family. It’s about creating a safe, supportive environment where the child feels seen, heard, and valued—emotionally, physically, and developmentally. Being present, consistent, and communicative helps children feel secure and allows them to grow with confidence. As a nanny, I believe it's essential to balance structure with play, to listen with empathy, and to model patience, curiosity, and kindness. Ultimately, you're not just providing care—you're becoming a trusted part of a child’s daily life and shaping the way they experience the world.
