I worked at the Boys and Girls Club my senior year of highschool. I was responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment, helping with homework, planning group activities, and supporting emotional development. I developed strong relationships with the children and learned how to manage different personalities, encourage positive behavior, and respond calmly and effectively in challenging situations. This experience taught me the importance of structure, patience, and empathy.

During my time there (Boys and Girls Club), I had the opportunity to work closely with several children who had special needs, including those on the autism spectrum and with ADHD. I learned how to adapt activities, offer calm and consistent support, and communicate effectively based on each child's unique needs. This experience deepened my patience, creativity, and empathy.
