A little bit about me

Hey! My name is Chavia Grant, and I’m currently a college student studying psychology . I’m CPR certified and also have my mental health certification, so I understand how to keep kids safe, both physically and emotionally.

I come from a big family I have a little brother, a little sister, and an older brother so I’ve always been around kids and helping out. I also helped my grandma run her daycare for about 2–3 years when I was younger and had the time, so I’ve had hands-on experience with children of all ages.

I’m patient, responsible, and I really enjoy creating a fun and safe space for kids to be themselves. Whether it’s helping with homework, playing outside, or just being a listening ear, I’m here for it all.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I grew up helping my grandma run her in-home daycare, so I have real, hands-on experience with kids. I helped feed them, play with them, teach them, put them down for naps — pretty much everything that comes with caring for little ones of different ages. It taught me patience, responsibility, and how to keep kids safe, happy, and engaged.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing kid-friendly activities like reading, drawing, coloring, building Legos, and playing games. I also enjoy being outside with the kids — going to the park, riding bikes, playing catch, soccer, football, or just having fun and running around. I like to keep things active, creative, and enjoyable!

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve supported family members with autism and mental health challenges, including a loved one who recently went through a psychotic episode. These experiences taught me patience, compassion, and how to stay calm in stressful situations. I’m also studying psychology and have mental health training, so I understand how to support children emotionally and developmentally.
