A little bit about me

I’m Che’ Roberts, a professional caregiver listed in the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR). I have over 10 years of experience caring for children from newborns through school age. Raised by a nanny myself, I place a strong emphasis on consistency, emotional presence, and fostering strong connections.
With a background in children’s theatre, curriculum development, and educational programming, I bring a creative movement approach to caregiving. I design thoughtful routines and engaging activities that balance structure with imagination, supporting a wide range of learning styles.
Families appreciate my organized, attentive, and supportive presence, as well as my ability to introduce creativity and calm structure into daily life, helping children thrive emotionally, socially, and intellectually.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

In addition to serving as a caretaker for individual children, I have worked as a theater teacher, children’s theater performer, director, and curriculum developer for youth programs. I have created workshops in performance, voice, movement, stage production, and costume design for kids and teens in schools, community centers, and after-school programs. I love designing hands-on, creative activities that foster self-expression, teamwork, and confidence, while providing a safe and supportive environment for learning and growth.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy supporting children through a variety of activities, including reading, homework tutoring, creative arts and crafts, sports and active play, costume-making, baking, introductory sign language, and visual storytelling.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a caretaker of children is remembering that you were once a child. This mindset shapes my approach to providing emotionally supportive, developmentally thoughtful, and consistent care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was working with a child who struggled with focus and often daydreamed. Her family wanted to honor her imagination while also supporting her ability to concentrate, build confidence, and strengthen academic skills. I suggested we create a coloring and research book together, inspired by the worlds she imagined. We named the people, places, and objects in her drawings and looked them up together, using her artwork as the foundation for spelling, research, and discussion. Watching her creativity become a bridge to focus and self-confidence was incredibly meaningful to me
