Hello All! I know it can be stressful choosing someone to join your family and care for your children, so here’s a bit to know about me to help wipe that stress away! I am from Monterey Bay, California. I have a 4 year old son, who is already in school during hours that I would be working. I am a trained pastry chef, so I love to teach kids how to cook and bake - and you’ll never have to worry about meal prep with me, I’ll take care of it! I am a student at Georgia State University, with a double major: Exercise Science and English. As part of my English major, I focus on illustrated children’s books and creative writing: I absolutely LOVE reading to kids. I am a dog mama to two sweet pups, Hershey and Luna, so I would love to care for your fur babies too! I’m a lover of all sports and outdoors- active life with kids is a good life. Currently, I am a teacher who works with 2 year olds for the first half of my day, and then move over to help out 5+ year olds with reading and writing skills. Overall, I’m a very approachable, energetic gal who genuinely loves being around children and giving them the best life they could ever live. I have experience with children of all ages that come from a variety of lifestyles. From my 4 daughters and my 2 step children who brought so many class mates and friends through my home so regular I could have claimed a few on my taxes several years, along w each of their school functions. Then I was a parent aid for cornerstone which lead up to me becoming a state certified foster parent having 12 children stay in my care and 5 of those 12 being a sibling group aged 9-7-6-5-3 -1 who were w me for a little over 3 years. After they left my entire family felt the void and I at that time opened a daycare center and ran it for about a year. Each child is unique in their own way as is the parents to each child and both you have to learn to accommodate in a positive way to the caring of a child's needs. I find I enjoy the children ages 2/3 through 5 the most because they are so curious and I can see the adventure unfold as they learn to do things independently. Of course the newborns are do precious I just want to sit n rock them listening as they learn to coo...n discover their hands. Then about school age it's a new territory and there had to be a click between a sitters style and the families routine so it doesn't interrupt...Although the older n more independent they become the more times I recall thinking of so many " I can't wait till you walk n talk" where at this point it's more please sit down and be quite exspecially w the girls .....but still I enjoy a challenge to keeping up w them all!
