Some activities I enjoy doing with children include arts and crafts, baking, playing board games, spending time outdoors, going on walks or to the park, reading together, and coming up with fun, creative activities that keep them engaged. I also enjoy encouraging imaginative play and helping with homework or educational games when needed.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children with special needs through my time as a teacher’s assistant in special education classrooms throughout both middle school and high school. In this role, I supported students with their daily activities, assisted with classroom tasks, encouraged participation, and helped create a positive, patient, and inclusive learning environment. This experience taught me the importance of adaptability, compassion, and meeting each child where they are to best support their individual needs.
