A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Chelsie! I graduated from Central Michigan University in 2016 with a degree in early childhood development. After graduating I worked at a non profit child care center for homeless children for 2 years and than started working at a day care center in sterling heights for 6 months. It was after this position that I had the opportunity to nanny for an amazing family for 2 years! I took some time off and then found another incredible family to take care of for about 2 and a half years. At the beginning of this year I took time off as we welcomed our second child. I am currently a stay at home mom but would love to find a position that would also welcome in my two kids(4 year old girl and 1 year old boy). I am excited to meet your family.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Preschool Lead Teacher at Grace Centers of Hope.

Nanny for a family in Birmingham, MI with a newborn and 1 1/2 year old for 2 years

Nanny for a family in Oxford, MI for 4 years with a newborn, 1 1/2 year old and 3 year old.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I truly believe that playing indoors and out is the most important activity a child can do. Putting them in environments where their imagination can grow and be challenged is my favorite. You do not need expensive toys to learn. Absolutely everything around a child is an opportunity to learn and experience something new.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I switched from day care teaching to being a nanny because I was not able to have one on one care with the children in my care that they desperately needed. The most important part of being a nanny is simply that; the ability to be one on one with a child to fulfill their specific needs.
