A little bit about me

Hi! New to nanny lane. I love being a sitter/nanny because I enjoy building genuine connections and creating a safe, positive environment where children feel comfortable and cared for. I’m naturally patient, attentive, and compassionate, and I enjoy helping others while making everyday activities fun and engaging. My customer service and client-facing experience has also strengthened my ability to understand individual needs, build trust, and remain dependable and professional. I’m comfortable following routines and instructions while making sure the people I care for feel safe and supported. My strongest skills are patience, active listening, communication, problem-solving, and creating a welcoming environment. I’m also comfortable communicating with parents, following household routines, and keeping children engaged in age-appropriate activities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, caring, and trustworthy environment where children feel comfortable, supported, and able to be themselves. It’s also important to communicate well with parents, be dependable, and keep children engaged with fun, age-appropriate activities while encouraging their growth and independence.

My experience with special needs children...

Never cared for but I’m open to it!

The most important part about being a nanny...

my favorite nanny moments was when a child I was caring for surprised me by showing me a drawing they had made and explaining the whole story behind it. It was such a small moment, but it reminded me how special it is to be part of a child’s everyday life and watch their personality and creativity grow.

Kaela B. - Seeking Work in Philadelphia

Full-Time Nanny Available in Philadelphia, PA: Kaela B.

I began working with kids when I turned 13 and both of my next-door neighbors had just had their first child. I had just taken a babysitter's course, so I started as a mother's helper to learn more. I still babysit for one of the families now, and their oldest is turning 12!

I was a psychology major in undergrad and took several child development courses.

I worked at Upper Dublin Lutheran Church's nursery (0-3) for several years in high school, as well as their summer camp. I also interned for a summer at a program for children with special needs.

I am currently in the process of renewing my first aid and CPR certification.

I am looking forward to working with your family!
