More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have my CDA & my directors credentials from The state of Florida. I’ve worked with babies up to 17-year-old. Previous employment was Plato Academy teaching and taking care of 20 children in a VPK classroom. Over this summer, I had the opportunity to nanny. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am in now retiring from preschool teaching and I think I could be very beneficial being a nanny.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love reading stories and bringing the characters to life. My favorite is to paint I love seeing the creativity that comes out of them. I connect with children and teach them through playing. And only positive reinforcement.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Keeping the children safe within their environment, their nutritional needs and providing fun engaging activities. I think it’s important to help with the family chores to help The home move smoothly.

My experience with special needs children...

The young lady I took care of this summer has a cognitive disability from missing her ninth chromosome. I’ve owned and operated a preschool for children with sensory challenges and autism. I have learned how to communicate with children and understand the emotional and physical needs by cues of their bodies and likes and dislikes within there environment and Speech delays. I know sign language.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It’s A moment that a teacher lives for. My little friend did not have the cognitive skills to write letters or sound out a set of letters. Within 30 minutes of teaching her sign language alphabet. She was able to spell five words. I have it captured on video, as she realized she spelt the words using her sign language ability she was overcome with glee and started jumping upside down saying I can spell!!! I can spell !!! 🙂

Caring for children has always been one of the greatest joys in my life. As a proud mother of three and an excited first-time grandmother, I understand how important it is for every child to feel safe, loved, and encouraged to be themselves. I believe in creating a warm, nurturing environment where children can learn, laugh, explore, and grow with confidence. I lead with patience, kindness, and genuine compassion, treating every child with the same love and care I would want for my own family. My goal is to become a trusted part of a family’s support system, providing dependable care while giving parents complete peace of mind that their children are in loving, capable hands.
