I've babysat intermittently throughout my youth and adulthood. I have also been involved, both through volunteer and contracted opportunities, with a school in Florida for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, where I've helped in after school programs and to manage a few of their microenterprises.

My experience with special needs children...
My youngest brother has Down syndrome, so I have a lot of experience growing up with a brother with special needs. I cared for him as a child, and was also very involved in volunteering at his school for children and adults with intellectual and/or developmental differences. I also grew up going to a camp for people with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities so I have experience with a variety of ages and special needs.
