More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Neighbor's Nanny from age 12-17yrs old, I watched their 2 kids ages 5 and 7, cleaned house, cooked, and helped with homework. I had to deal with a teenager I was not getting paid to watch. He was too irresponsible and made the job challenging at times.
Once I reached 17, I worked as a daycare provider at World Gym for a lil over 1yr. in Colorado Springs, CO. I watched over kids from 6m-12yrs old.
I have never met a baby that doesn't like me. Babies just take alot of patience and people don't realise how in tune they are with our own emotions.
I do have experience with special needs. For 1yr I worked with a client who had the body of an 18yr old and the mind of a 6m old baby.
I helped raise my lil sister for the 1st 10yrs of her life. Then again another 6yrs, of her being a teen and experiencing adolescents.
For a short period of time I worked at L.A. Fitness in their daycare department in Tucson, AZ
Recently have helped out family w/ 6kids ages range from newborns-12yrs old.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Homework before playtime is what I like to have as a routine. It's important that kids are able to be kids. I like all types of games; tag, hide and seek, board games, sports (tennis, soccer, football, baseball, basketball), play dress up, act silly, build forts, whatever the kids are into I'll adjust accordingly. Art and crafts are always fun with all ages except if they are an infant/toddler.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I get to experience all types of culture, beliefs, keeping an open mind to each and every person's world views.
Helping other families feel less stressed about home life. Leaving them with a sense of security, knowing that their kid(s) are well taken care of and also in the comfort and safety of their own home. Without having to stress about the kids or the house, families are able to focus more on their careers. Neither parent should have to sacrifice their dream. You are supposed to be working to live and not live to work. Having an extra hand helps tremendously when your plate is already full. I also think it's important to acknowledge that kids look up to the people they have around them so being a good role model is another important factor. Along with interacting with the kids and not just setting them in front of a TV.

My experience with special needs children...
Autism, blind, in a wheelchair, and where their minds are not quite up to speed with their growth.
The most important part about being a nanny...
While I was working at a daycare inside World Gym, I had an aerobics instructor put her class based upon my schedule in order for me specifically to care for her newborn baby, Caden. It was neat to watch him grow from being just a tiny newborn and transformed into a little man.
