I have been teaching in the early childhood setting for approximately 8 years since 2016. I taught at Head Start in my hometown for 7 years then relocated to Belleville area and taught for another year and 1/2 at a local daycare.

I believe play and exploration is essential to learning at early ages. Therefore, outdoor park play is good for gross motor skills and development. Indoor play includes fine motor activities such as creating instruments from household supplies. For instance, making a guitar from large rubber bands and an empty tissue box.
