A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Christine, and I am 22 years old. I grew up in Averill Park, New York, and graduated from Albany Academy, a private/prep high school. I then moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where I attended Belmont University. I recently graduated in May with my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Minor in Sports Medicine. I am now moving to Miami to attend Florida International University's Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Since being in a DPT program can be quite demanding, babysitting is a more flexible job that will be easier to integrate with my schedule. I love taking care of kids, and I have enough experience that I am comfortable caring for all ages. I am used to working with children from my many internships regarding physical therapy, including working with children with disabilities. I am certified in life-saving care from my current job in lifeguarding and am confident that your children will be in safe hands.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

-Babysitting for several different families of all ages.
-Nashville Dolphins swim instructor for children with disabilities.
-Valley Cats (New York) Childcare Activities Coordinator

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

crafts, going for walks, and anything that brings them joy.

The most important part about being a nanny...

not only ensuring safety but also being present. It is important to me that children feel comfortable enough to view me as a friend. A lot of times, nannies/babysitters feel their only duty is to watch the children and follow parents instructions. Although that is important, I also want to make sure the kids are having fun and actually like the person that is taking care of them. No child should feel neglected by their nanny.

My experience with special needs children...

Teaching children with disabilities how to swim

The most important part about being a nanny...

when I walked in to the house to start babysitting for the day and the child ran to give me a hug and was really happy to see me.
