When weather is nice exploring outdoors is always ideal! However I also enjoy teaching kiddos how to bake/cook. Doing arts and crafts. Playing games whether its hide n seek or a board game. Playing make believe/ dress up. Or genuinely anything their heart desires.
My experience with special needs children...
In Highschool I took part in being a para aid for our special needs program and dealt with varying levels and types of special needs. I am most familiar and comfortable with autism and down syndrome however have worked with quite a bit more. Plus I am attending Kansas State University in order to receive my bachelors in psychology which I am planning to be a therapist for children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
When my kids back home and I wanted to go to the neighborhood pool but found out it was unfortunately was closed. So we decided we would play with the hose and sprinklers instead which eventually we also brought out the water balloons. By the time we were done all 4 of us were drenched head to toe.
