More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked with multiple child theatre companies since 2021. I would help teach kids basic theatre premises and help them thrive in a social environment. Typically they were ages 6 - 12. I have had my babysitting and CPR licenses since 2020. Ever since then I have helped take care of kids ages 6 months to 10 years. Both of these jobs have helped me learn to care for children’s physical, emotional, and developmental needs.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I’m able to adjust to the personality of the child I’m working with. I love to have fun and be active! Going to parks or building forts with older, more adventurous kids. I’m also able to sit down and chill if a kid is more laid back. Reading books and coloring is plenty fun for me! When taking care of infants I love to do the basic developmental activities. Building fine motor skills or learning to talk is a big deal and I love to help kids learn!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Helping kids feel safe and cared for 24/7. Making sure children are learning and growing in an environment where they feel safe to do so is SO important! I love being able to help kids along and see them develop new skills!
My experience with special needs children...
I don’t have much experience with special needs children outside of my jobs in theater, but I would love to learn!
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of the kids I watched pretty consistently for about two years built me a flower out of legos! It was so cute and made me feel like I was doing a good job making him feel safe and cared for!
