A little bit about me

I’m a recent graduate from Holland Christian, who is looking for full time summer employment providing loving care to children. I love to learn and hope to find a family that values education of their children through reading, games and outdoor discovery opportunities. I love art, music and theater and desire to create age-appropriate, fun and creative learning activities with kids that encourage them to use their imaginations. I am a hard working student who took seven AP classes over the last three years and is looking forward to attending Calvin University in the fall. I will apply this same effort in my summer work and hope to find a family that I can work with over the next several summers. In addition to babysitting jobs over the past five years, I have volunteered in the nursery at our church and currently teach Bible lessons in our children’s ministry. I have worked two or three shifts per week over the last two years at Ditto Upscale Resale as a sales associate.

It really depends on the age. I love art and helping kids use their imaginations. Painting, coloring, scavenger hunts, puzzles, etc are all fun activities with kids from 3 - 11.

The health and safety of the children - which includes their emotional health as well as their physical health.

My experience with special needs children...

I have a younger cousin with Spina bifida and another with Turner Syndrome. We also have inclusive education at our school and I am friends with a student with a student with Cerebral Palsy and another with Down Syndrome.
