A little bit about me

I am a current online college student for art therapy. I have three younger siblings I contribute a lot of time to and raised quite a bit. I have been a babysitter and daycare worker years prior and love kids.
I can do house chores, caregiving, and prep most meals. I like to inspire hands-on activities but also can swing with the technology, if permitted. I also house sit currently off/on for two separate families outside of town and take care of their animals for long time periods.
Although I am a full time student, I am willing to dedicate full hours to work and time manage accordingly to my employers. Art is my passion and I hope to share it with many kids in the future. My little brother and I have a pretty close bond and I was very close to most of the kids at the daycare I previously worked at. I love to help kids learn and understand their school work. I was a babysitter for several families off and on. Previously, I was a daycare worker for toddlers and older kids.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love playing all kinds of sports, although I am not that good. I like to encourage the park and walking and simply being outdoors. My favorite thing to do with my younger siblings is go kayaking together

The most important part about being a nanny...

For any caregiver, I believe the most important part is being there for these kids. To be present in their time with you, learn how each kid is unique and find ways to positively interact with the children. Whether the kid is sociable or not, a caregiver's main focus is the child and his/her utmost safety and care. Unless advised by the parent to include other priorities, the child is the focus.

I have had experience with many different types of neurodivergent children, including ADD and ADHD.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One day at the daycare, I had to leave for an hour during naptime due to personal reasons. When I came back, one of my toddlers was awake and reading a book quietly on her cot. She looked up at me, smiled, and showed me what she was doing. I sat next to her for the rest of the hour and we read books and pointed out different animals that she named. That was one of many moments I cherished as a caregiver.
