I've served in every area of kid's church since I was 13, from assistant to leader and everywhere in between. I've also been babysitting for several of my friends for years.
Aside from that, as a child my mom had cancer, so I stepped up to take her place while she was going through chemo. At 14, we adopted my youngest brother, who has often been left in my care for hours to days over the last 11 years.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Being a stable, reliable, and inspirational grownup for children to look up to. I believe it's vital to teach kids important skills they can carry into adulthood, as well as teach them to thoroughly enjoy the moment they're in. I love getting to watch the wonder in a child's eyes as they experience things for the first time.
