A little bit about me

I am a 26-year-old freelance illustrator who works from home, looking to become a long-term nanny. I am CPR and First Aid certified, and I care for infants to pre-K-aged children.

My specialty is entertaining babies under 12 mo. with age-appropriate experiences, books, and games. I encourage babies to reach motor skill milestones like rolling, sitting up, visual tracking, and grasping objects. Of course, I am also very comfortable with bottle-feeding, burping, diaper changes, teething comfort, naps, and maintaining a safe environment for your baby.

Caring for children is so fulfilling to me, even on the rough days. It fills me with awe to see their little brains soak in the world around them. I'm organized, responsible, and ready to provide excellent care for your child!

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I regularly cared for my baby brother, born when I was 10, until I moved out. I was also the eldest cousin; It was my job to watch the youngsters during holiday parties and gatherings.

I have changed diapers, monitored naps, bottle-fed formula and pumped milk, treated boo-boos, cared for mild fevers and sickness, read books, and played many, many games of pretend.

I try to avoid screens, especially with infants. My goal is not to distract them until you come home. I aim to create a fun, wholesome experience for your child.

Outdoor:

Recently, I was reading a high-contrast book to my nephew (3.5 mo.). I held the book above him by the spine so that one cardboard page was loose at a time, allowing him to practice page-turning to the best of his ability. Though his fine motor skills are still clumsy, I was amazed that he knew to turn the pages from right to left. He clearly preferred some pages over others and would fuss when the book ended. Little kiddos are so incredibly smart.
