A little bit about me

Hi, I’m Claire! I have been taking care of children since I was a child myself. Growing up my parents took in foster children. These children along with my mothers compassion and care taking ability taught me how to be responsible and look after children with a loving heart. I began babysitting in high school and got my first job as a nanny my freshman year of college (2017)I fell in love with the job, both the children and the parents are amazing and I still keep in contact with them to this day. After nannying for a year I started working at the ARC where I would take care of disabled and special needs adults. During this job I was responsible (with a team) for bathing, meal prep/cooking, doctors appointments, laundry, and any day to day need a person may have. I was at this job for 3 years, and am very comfortable working with handicapped or disabled children.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I started caring for children as a child myself. Growing up my family would take in foster children and babies that I would help my mother look after. When I went into high school I started babysitting for various family friends and at the start of my freshman year in college (2017) I started my first nannying job! At that job I was responsible for watching over two young children, and I completely loved it! After that job I started working for the ARC where I no longer took care of kids but disabled adults, I loved that job as well. I am now looking forward to taking care of children again!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I am very much an outdoors person, I love being able to go for a walk or taking a trip to the beach or park in the summer!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is making sure that the children are both safe and well taken care of as well as letting the parents know that they can trust me to be responsible with their most precious little ones.

My experience with special needs children...

My younger sibling is autistic so I have many years of watching a child with autism, as well as working for the ARC where I worked with adults with both mental and physical disabilities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment nannying was listening to music and dancing with the kids in the kitchen while I prepared us all some lunch!
