Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’ve been caring for young children most of my life in both informal and formal settings. I regularly assisted at my sister’s licensed family child care home, where I helped care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. My responsibilities included diapering, feeding, maintaining routines, engaging children in age-appropriate activities, and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment.
In addition, I volunteered at the daycare my siblings attended, supporting teachers and caregivers by helping with transitions, supervising free play, cleaning up meals and activities, and reading or playing with children one-on-one or in small groups.
Most recently, I worked in a licensed child care center, where I gained professional experience following state guidelines, adapting to classroom routines, and working with children from infancy through preschool. Though my time there was brief, it solidified my confidence and passion for early childhood care and education.
