My experience with special needs children...
At my last preschool job I had three kids that special needs. One of my kids had a form of autism. The other two had cognitive development issues. I was given pointers by the local school district and taught how to teach and approach them. I am good with children with autism because my boyfriend has autism.
The most important part about being a nanny...
This was more when I was preschool teacher, but I had been teaching the kids some good handwriting tools for a good three months. When I first implemented the handwriting portion Child A could not write his name at all. In just three short months he wrote his full name all by himself without lines to trace or me guiding him.
