I have been babysitting since I was 12, and I was a nanny from 17-21. I was also a daycare aide at my church and did after-school teaching as well.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love going on trail walks, visiting museums, watching movies, and playing games and sports. I encourage a love of nature, art, and history, and I try to make sure there is at least 1 hr of reading as a result. I come from a very active family, so taking kids to play golf, tennis, soccer, and maybe going to an occasional hockey game is a must :)

The most important part about being a nanny...

My mother always taught us the most important thing about child care is making sure they are safe, happy, and healthy. These three things all affect each other greatly, so the best thing is to do activities that enhance these.

it was raining outside on our park day, so instead we set up an obstacle course and played hide and seek nerf war in the house.
