have over 8 years of professional experience working with children in behavioral therapy, including both in-home and clinic settings. I’ve worked with children ranging from infants through teenagers and have experience creating routines, supporting daily activities, managing challenging behaviors, and helping children build independence. I also spent several years nannying for a family with three children, which gave me a great perspective on the day-to-day responsibilities and relationships that come with being a nanny.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love getting kids out of the house and making everyday activities fun! Depending on their interests, I enjoy going to parks, playgrounds, museums, libraries, swimming, doing arts and crafts, baking, playing games, reading, and exploring new places. I’m also a big believer in letting kids be creative and take the lead in play while still providing structure and guidance when they need it.

I think the most important part of being a nanny is building a relationship where the children feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. Being a nanny is about much more than keeping kids entertained, it’s about being dependable, patient, encouraging, and someone they can trust. I also think it’s important to respect each family’s routines and parenting style while bringing your own energy and personality to the relationship.
My experience with special needs children...
I have extensive experience working with children with a variety of developmental and behavioral needs. I’ve worked as an RBT and now in a supervisory role, where I support both children and the therapists working with them. I have experience with individualized goals, communication skills, social skills, emotional regulation, daily living skills, and supporting children through challenging behaviors. Most importantly, I try to meet each child where they are and create an environment where they feel understood, supported, and successful.
