A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Clover. I was a 3-year-old teacher for approximately a year and a half a floater for around nine months and I currently have a beautiful nanny job. Unfortunately one of the boys is going off to preschool around spring, so I'm looking for a replacement. I have my CPR and First Aid certifications, as well as all of my required training hours to work in a daycare setting.

I would love to get to know your kiddos better and learn more about the job. I love kids, cooking, and cleaning, and I absolutely adore dogs, I have three myself! As well as one cat! One of my favorite parts about the daycare setting was that I got to connect with kiddos and families and nannying allows me to do that on a deeper level.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve been working as my neighborhood babysitter since I was around 16. When I was 18, I jumped straight into childcare and was a preschool teacher for the three’s room in which the ratio is 1 to 13. Threes are my absolute favorite age, although every age comes with their ups and downs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing morning walks, small academic activities, arts and crafts, as well as working on developmental milestones that are appropriate for the child’s age. I try to have one structured play moment per visit with the kiddo to ensure that the they understands guided play.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One are the most important parts about being a nanny to me personally is making sure that the kids feel safe but also not letting them rule. I’m a firm believer in letting kids have controlled choices. “ would you rather jump or skip inside?” I want kids to feel autonomy, but it’s more important that they’re safe and they’re listening to the adults around them.

My experience with special needs children...

While I was a teacher, I had children with special needs in my classroom. As well as working as a nanny for an autistic child, level three. I also have experience with kiddos where English is not their first language. I personally find it really fun to see how their vocabulary can broaden.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite childcare moment was when one of my kids looked at me with so much love in their heart and just said “I love you”, Miss Clover, and gave me a giant hug. It means a lot to me that my kiddos around me feel comfortable and safe although I know how to lay down the rules. I want them to know at the end of the day. I love them and care about their safety.
