I've been babysitting pretty much all my life! Became an Aunt when I was 6 years old and then my sister had two more boys after that. Grew up watching them all the time and officially began babysitting for all my sister's friends when I was 12 years old. I was a nanny for 2 summers when I was back home from college for a family. In addition, I babysit for other families on top of my summer nanny job. Recently, I was a nanny for almost the past 5 years. I began watching the daughter in April 2017 when she was 3 months old; the couple had another child, a boy, in March 2019. In addition to watching the kids, I also did the kid's laundry, made their breakfast/lunch/snacks, and did some light housework. I have so much experience taking care of children ranging in all ages from infant to teen.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Playing outside whether it's chalk, bikes, soccer, going for walks, or playing tag. Also love to read, do puzzles, arts and crafts, and play with them. I always make sure to constantly be talking and interacting with the child as it is important for growth and brain development. I will dive into whatever makes the child happy.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Helping the child learn, grow, and develop through nurturing, caring, attention, and interaction. Being able to do this brings me so much joy as kids are so precious.
