My name is Courtney and I am looking for a wonderful family to be helpful for! I have a background in childcare; from Daycares and Preschools to full time Nannying and working around busy schedules! I also have 5 younger siblings and 5 older siblings.. you can imagine help was always needed for the littles! I have a love for animals as well as I have worked in a Vet clinic and daycare/boarding facilities. So if animal care is needed, I could be very helpful! I am now going to pursue a certificate in Radiology Technology at OCC this fall. I will still be able work full time for a family and do school at the same time. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Daycare and Preschool assistant teacher. Nanny to 3 families in the past, ages ranging from 5mo-16yr old. I also did summer nannying jobs as a high schooler from 8th-11th grade. I trained to be an RBT and worked with children who had learning disabilities.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to do arts and crafts and science experiments! I love to play board games, color and encourage the kiddos to use their imagination! During the summer days, I love to go for walks, to the park, swimming and out to get a sweet treat! We can use chalk to make hopscotch or play Horse with a basketball!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Show kiddos how to have fun, be a kid, but also setting boundaries for learning, helping others and using manners. I enjoy being creative seeing want they can come up with too! I also just love to be apart of someone’s family. Where I am helpful enough to make their day better and trustworthy enough to be like family!

My experience with special needs children...

In elementary school, I always volunteered to have lunch/recess with the special needs kiddos. After recess and lunch, I’d help clean up and get ready for the next activity. I also was a “saftey” where we would wear yellow vests to walk the special needs kiddos to the bus. I trained to be an RBT for 6 months in 2022. There I helped elementary aged kids with severe to moderate learning disabilities, learn to count, recognize shapes and letters, recognize colors and objects. It was very hands on and we also taught them real life skills like going to the bathroom, how to eat with a fork/spoon, having manners and so on.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I was a Nanny to a wonderful family with a single mom to 3 kiddos. Unfortunately, around 5 months into me being with them, their biological dad had passed away tragically at work. I remember talking with the mom and consoling her and how excited they all were to see me everyday going forward because i brought light and happiness in during the darkest moments of their lives.
