A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Courtney and I have had a passion for working with children since I was old enough to babysit. By taking a babysitting course, I became certified by the Red Cross at only 12. I grew up babysitting my neighbors 4 kids and later got a job at the YMCA after school and summer camp programs to supervise and entertain up to 70 kids (with a 1:10 ratio of staff). After the YMCA, I began working at Expressive Beginnings daycare. I organize daily activities, provide lunches, and help with homework for 7 kids ages 5-11. I also have experience in the preschool, toddler, and infant rooms. This includes children from 3 months to 5 years old. I am certified in first aid and CPR as well as being trained to work with children in a childcare setting. I love outdoor play, arts & crafts, and science. I’m also comfortable helping children with homework they may have. I can’t wait to see if I’m the right fit for your family!

I love any arts and crafts activity. Most of my favorite crafts come from Pinterest. I also love to do science experiments to make learning fun. Kids love science and it gives them an amazing opportunity to learn from play, which i believe is very important. Outdoor play is always important as well. For the younger kids, I love to read stories and sing camp songs I learned as a kid.
