I have personal experience with my sister, she has an intellectual disability and I understand all that is involved in parenting and caring for people with disabilities. I was also working with an autistic child, we established routines, respecting his space, preparing his meals, giving him his medications, helping him to sleep, helping him to be more independent in his daily activities.
