i charge an extra $10/hr for weekends (sat and sun)

"She really had my kids engaged and was welcome to there ideas. My daughter was really into science for a few months and crystal did little volcano kits with her every friday and i it really made her week. She also did a lot of crafts for holidays and helped my son with homework when needed. Overall she was great to work with and we were sad to move away from her."

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

i volunteered at the playgroup in my high school for 3 years.
i nannied my old neighbors 2 kids when i was in high school [phone number hidden])before they moved
i nannied another families 3 children (1 was handicapped and special needs) for 6 months in 2018 until they stopped paying me.
i’m certified to sub as a ta in schools for special needs kids specifically.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

indoor: i like to help them grow there skills so i’ll usually have a fun craft activity (coloring or cut and paste) or making cookies or homemade pizza something that they can see that they’re involved in. i also like to add reading into what we’re doing because it helps grab there attention and get excited about learning.
outdoors: if it’s nice out during the summer and you have a pool/ sprinklers i’ll bring them out. i also like to do things that grab there attention like play with chalk and bubbles and if your walking distance from a park i’ll usually bring them there to play. i also like to let them run freely but still have my attention so i like to let them kick a ball back and forth.

The most important part about being a nanny...

making sure the child is safe, comfortable, and happy around myself. i might be a good fit for the parent but if the child is not at its best in my company then i wouldn’t want to risk the mental health of that child and what they need and want.

My experience with special needs children...

i grew up with a sister who is special needs (adhd) and i’ve also worked with kids at the playgroup of my old high school ages 2-4 who had adhd and autism. i also tutored teens with reading and learning disabilities when i was in high school.

The most important part about being a nanny...

my favorite moments are when you see the child succeeding and growing in front of you. being a part of any child’s life and helping them grow is one of the best gifts.
