A little bit about me

I am a single Mom of a bright 5 year old Daughter. She just turned 5. I am looking to Nanny with her. During the week Kindergarten gets out at 2 o'clock. I have decided to resolve my own child care by using my strong skills while helping another family. I have loved children my whole life and wish I could have a larger family of 5 children but I'm single and 42 yrs old. I have babysat for families since I was 12. I was even a part of a local referral service that offered same day care and another referral service that catered to hotels for vacation babysitters. ( A sitter needed at the hotel while on vacation.)
My Daughter is a really good girl and would love company! We get along great. I am dependable, flexible and responsible. I am extremely patient, jovial and gentle with a true passion for infants and toddlers well being. I believe there is always a learning model that children draw from and I want to be that good role model for my Daughter. She is excited to meet new friends!

I have been baby-sitting since I was 12. I have mostly babysat infants. I am raising a 5 year old on my own. Time goes by so fast!

Imagination play, reading, parks (walks), listen to music and talking.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Connecting with the children so they trust you. Safety is always a priority. Communication is key. Following the parents directions or lead helps build a lasting relationship. I believe it's important to focus on the children rather than television or media device. I limit my cell phone use and bring my own snacks.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My Daughter recently had 2 teeth fall out. She was so excited. The first tooth we were at a restaurant in Petaluma and the 2nd was at school. When she told me it was loose I reminded her to not swallow the tooth when it falls out. She was so proud of herself and she's earned a silver piece for each of the teeth.
