A little bit about me

I’m a child development expert, parent coach, and lifelong “baby whisperer” with a passion for neurodivergent minds! After four years as digital nomads, my partner Shayla and I put down roots in Michigan, where I balance my thriving online coaching business with hands-on nannying—because being with children has always been my heart’s work. My 29-year-old, Elise, is one of my greatest joys, and our two dogs, Kevin and Grace, keep life playful and lively. When I’m not supporting families, I’m likely outside—biking, hiking, or simply soaking up nature. I also love crocheting, enjoying live music, and geeking out over neuroscience. My coaching work allows me to help parents navigate the challenges of raising neurodivergent kids, and nannying keeps me grounded in the day-to-day joy of childhood. No matter what I’m doing, you can probably spot me by the pink and sparkly touch I add to everything!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

With over 20 years of experience caring for children of all ages, I bring a warm, structured, and playful approach rooted in Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf philosophies. I’ve worked with multiples, including twins and a pod of four same-age children, mastering the art of balancing individual needs with group dynamics (and plenty of laughter!). As a former household manager, I thrive on keeping busy families organized, whether it’s managing schedules, planning activities, or creating a calm, supportive environment. My expertise extends to working with children with special needs, from medically fragile infants to neurodivergent kids, always with patience, creativity, and respect for each child’s unique journey. I’m passionate about fostering independence, curiosity, and emotional growth while making sure kids feel safe, seen, and loved. Whether navigating big transitions or everyday adventures, I bring a steady, compassionate presence that helps families thrive.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love creating playful, enriching experiences that nurture curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning—especially outdoors! I prioritize daily outdoor time, whether it’s counting leaves on a walk, spotting letters in nature, or exploring new parks and museums. With toddlers, I turn everyday moments into fun learning opportunities, while with preschoolers, I embrace their boundless imagination through art, storytelling, and adventurous make-believe games. Music is another favorite of mine—I love singing silly songs, making up rhythm games, and exploring instruments together. Whether we’re biking, hiking, or simply running free outside, I believe fresh air and movement are essential for children’s development. No matter the activity, my goal is always to create a joyful, supportive space where kids can explore, grow, and express themselves.

The most important part about being a nanny...

For me, being a nanny is about more than just childcare—it’s about becoming a trusted, supportive part of the family. Open communication and integrity are at the heart of everything I do. I believe in being warm, approachable, and bringing my full self to the role, creating an environment where both parents and children feel safe, heard, and valued. Of course, organization, punctuality, and safety are essential, but just as important is the ability to form strong, loving bonds with children and guide their growth in a way that aligns with each family’s values. I strive to be the “third parent” families can rely on, helping shape their little ones into confident, capable individuals. Building that foundation takes time—it’s not just about the first day, but the first weeks of developing trust, routines, and a deep connection. My role is to meet a family’s unique needs and help bring their vision for their children to life.

My experience with special needs children...

Supporting neurodivergent children has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my career, and I’m continually fascinated by the connection between the brain, body, and behavior. I’ve worked with individuals across a wide spectrum of needs, from infants requiring feeding tubes to children with developmental and behavioral challenges, and even adults with special needs. I love learning about unique brains and finding creative ways to support each child’s strengths—whether it’s guiding a talkative little boy (who was later diagnosed with ADHD) toward meaningful conversations or helping a sensory-seeking child find comfort and regulation. My passion for this work extends beyond my career, as my partner and I hope to foster older kids, providing them with the stability and love they deserve. We envision a home full of kids, embracing the beautifully chaotic energy that comes with it, and creating a space where every child feels valued, supported, and free to be themselves.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Working with multiples has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career—it’s a beautiful mix of organized chaos, teamwork, and endless learning. One of my most memorable experiences was running a nanny pod in South Carolina from 2020 to 2022, caring for four infants from six weeks old through toddlerhood. I created a nurturing, structured environment where they could thrive, even during the uncertainty of COVID. Watching their unique personalities emerge, seeing their social bonds develop, and supporting their milestones was pure joy. The toddler years are full of curiosity and rapid growth, and I love fostering their sense of wonder through hands-on learning, exploration, and play. Whether encouraging independence, supporting early language development, or simply laughing through the day's adventures, I cherish every moment of guiding little ones as they grow into confident, capable children.
