More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
In my volunteer childcare experience, I rely heavily on the skills I've developed as an older sibling. Growing up, I’m often the one responsible for guiding and supporting my younger siblings, so stepping into a childcare role feels natural. I’m comfortable balancing fun activities with structure, ensuring that the kids are both engaged and well-behaved.
One key aspect of this experience is adapting to different personalities. Each child has their own way of expressing themselves, and my background helps me stay patient, calm, and responsive. Whether it’s soothing a child through a tough moment or organizing activities to keep them entertained, I feel confident in my ability to connect and build trust. This experience reinforces my understanding of the importance of creating a safe, nurturing environment for kids to thrive.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
When it comes to activities I enjoy doing with children, I love anything that sparks their creativity and keeps them engaged. Arts and crafts are always a hit—I enjoy setting up fun projects like drawing, painting, or even making simple DIY crafts together. It's great to see their imagination come to life!
Outdoor activities are another favorite. Whether it’s playing at the park, going for a walk, or organizing a simple game like tag or hide-and-seek, I love getting kids active and exploring the world around them.
I also enjoy reading with kids. It’s a great way to spark their curiosity and help build their language skills. We can turn storytime into something interactive, asking questions and discussing the story as we go. And of course, board games or puzzles are always a go-to for indoor fun. They not only entertain but help with problem-solving skills and teamwork.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is building a strong, trusting relationship with the children and their families. Creating a safe and nurturing environment where kids feel comfortable and valued is essential. This connection allows for open communication, helping to understand their needs, interests, and emotions.
Additionally, being adaptable and patient is crucial, as each day can bring new challenges and experiences. A good nanny also fosters a positive and engaging atmosphere through fun activities and support, encouraging children to learn and grow while feeling loved and secure. Ultimately, it's about being a reliable presence that contributes to their well-being and development.

My experience with special needs children...
In high school, as a student athlete we would participate in an Annual Turkey Trot (around Thanksgiving). Where we would be assigned a friend for the morning, run a race with them, feed them breakfast, and participate in fun activities for the rest of the day.
Unfortunately, that is the only experience i have with sparkly kiddos.
