I have experience working in a daycare setting, where I cared for toddlers and preschool-aged children in a structured, nurturing environment. In addition to that, I’m a fully involved toddler mom myself, which has given me hands-on, around-the-clock experience with child development, routines, and creative play.

I’ve also provided babysitting for families over the years, caring for children of various ages. My 7.5 years of experience as a CNA in elderly care have strengthened my skills in patience, communication, and safety awareness - qualities I bring into childcare as well. I’m attentive, reliable, and truly enjoy helping children learn, grow, and feel loved.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

As someone aspiring to be an elementary teacher, I love incorporating creative learning and hands-on experiences into everyday moments. Some of my favorite activities include learning through play, outdoor exploration, nature walks, and arts and crafts. I also enjoy involving children in simple, age-appropriate cooking and daily tasks to help build independence and confidence.

I lean toward a Montessori-inspired approach (but not strictly), encouraging children to explore, make choices, and learn at their own pace. I enjoy teaching basic American Sign Language (ASL), including the alphabet, numbers, and simple words, as well as helping little ones practice letters, numbers, and other early learning concepts in a fun, engaging way.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part about being a nanny is building a safe, loving, and supportive relationship with the child and their family. It's not just about supervision, it's about nurturing their growth, encouraging curiosity, and helping them feel confident and cared for.

As someone who is working toward becoming an elementary teacher, I truly value early childhood development and love helping children learn through play, creativity, and everyday experiences.

My experience with special needs children...

I have personal experience caring for my niece, a young girl with Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome, until her family moved. Through this, I’ve learned the importance of patience, consistency, and creating a nurturing environment tailored to a child’s unique needs. I understand how vital it is to adapt activities, communication styles, and routines to support developmental differences while celebrating each child’s individuality. This experience has deepened my empathy and strengthened my ability to provide calm, supportive care.
